My community is a bit different than most communities in this area.

I live in a security estate, which means that all around the area there are walls with electric wires on top. At the entrance there are security guards and dogs that also patrol the estate. In my community everyone actually knows everyone, which is unusual because in normal "communities" you maybe know your neighbours.

I think that our community is so close because we are in our own little safe haven in the estate, people can walk in the streets freely without fear and children play in the streets. This is what I like about my community, its very safe, carefree and the entire place is like family.

I am not sure of its historical background but I know that the estate was only made about ten years or so ago, we moved in at the beginning of last year, A very abnormal celebration that involves the whole community is Halloween, this is strange because there is no other place in South Africa that I know of that celebrates Halloween. This again is prove of the safeness of the community, in about any other normal community it would be to dangerous to do.

Currently there are no problems of my knowledge in the estate, community.

My favourite meal is anything to do with a big piece of meat!!!
Haha I love meat
A common meal at my home would be Mashed potatoe with boerewors mmmmmmm
We eat at haom mostly and will eat out about once every ten days.
My mom shops for food three times a week to buy fresh food.

The favourite activity for my family is to go and play paintball at the
Gotcha paintball range
usually we go with friends

My family on my moms side is completely christian but my dads side of the
family
(excluding my dad who is also a christian) do not believe in any religion (I
don't know what thats called)

My family does not have any strict set rules like must be home by ten or
only two hours of tv, in my family
I can do what I want but if it affects my school marks thats my problem and
I have to live with that then. So
it all comes down to my concience.

So I think it is about time that I tell you guys about myself

My name is Eric Johan Van der Sande and I am half South African and half Belgian.

My mother has lived in SA since birth and my father came to SA to work when he was in his late twenties and so he met my mother and decided to stay.

I was born and grew up in SA. I am fifteen years old.

My three favourite authors are, Trudy Canavan who wrote the black magicians trilogy, Christopher Paolini who wrote the Inheritance Trilogy and J.K Rowling who everyone knows.

I love doing sport and working out. I am currently taking part in swimming, wrestling and rugby.

I was actually in America on a wrestling tour three years ago. I saw Washington, New York and some other place that i cant remember.

On weekends I usually take part in wrestling or swimming competitions other wise I am chilling whith my friends at the mall or I play golf.

My first and home language is Afrikaans and my second language that we also ta;k at school is English. Lastly I can also speak a little and fully understand Nederlands  becouse of my Belgian connection.

My hobbies are reading, playing computer or playstation 2 and habnging out with my friends.

I am not yet sure what I want to become when I am out of school and university. I would like to travel to the other varius countries of Europe.

So that is basically all about me.

my cousin shot on the third day.
